Message from the
The National Industrial Development and Logistics Program shall 
continue its diligent work with the executing entities to achieve the 
desired results in accordance with the national plans inspired by Saudi 
Vision 2030, a number of achievements have been accomplished 
that will have a significant impact on reaching the objectives of the 
program and creating added value for the national economy.  We are 
inspired to achieve success by the unlimited support the program has 
received from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman 
bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman 
bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

During the past year, the program has continued its efforts in assisting the sectors in 
implementing programs and initiatives, and contributing to a number of great achievements, in 
addition to the shift in awareness that the program is witnessing by moving from the planning 
stage to implementation at multiple levels, which makes us confident that we will achieve the 
ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030 with ease, all this would not have been possible without 
the concerted efforts of the executing entities and working teams.
This report highlights the many successes NIDLP has achieved with its partners, the most 
impressive of which is the increase of total non-oil exports, to 435 Billion SAR. This is a 38% 
increase over 2021. In addition, the four sectors of the Program created more than 266 
thousands  new jobs in 2022, bringing the total number of workers to 1.655 Million.
In the energy sector, ownership of the Saudi Power Procurement Company has been transferred 
to the government to enable the electricity sector to achieve its strategic objectives. As a result, 
the company signed power purchase agreements for renewable energy projects with total 
capacity of 3.2 GW, which will contribute to attracting investments worth 9 Billion SAR. This is 
in addition to launching five new projects for renewable energy electricity production.
The mining sector launched the first Future Minerals Forum in 2022, surpassing expectations 
in terms of attendance and business conducted. The sector also achieved a second straight 
year of record revenues, reaching 1.45 Billion SAR. Another important milestone was the 
successful tendering process completed in 2022, which saw exploration licenses granted for 
two important mineral sites.
In the industrial sector, we were honored to have His Royal Highness the Crown Prince launch 
of the National Industrial Strategy (NIS), which is the roadmap for the rapid growth of Saudi 
Arabia’s industrial sector, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.  Also, the Saudi Industrial Development 
Fund approved loans worth 14 Billion SAR to fuel growth in the industrial, energy and mining 
sectors, while the Saudi Export-Import Bank provided credit facilities valued at 14.6 Billion SAR 
to improve access to non-oil exports.
In the logistics sector, we witnessed the inauguration of a special integrated logistics area at 
King Khalid International Airport and the opening of an Apple distribution center, both of 
which will help feed local and regional markets. Our railway system also achieved a number of 
key milestones, including the completion of a link between the networks in the north and east,
