Editorial Policy &
Content Standards

Our commitment to accuracy, transparency, and editorial independence in covering Saudi Arabia's compute infrastructure ecosystem.

LAST UPDATED: FEBRUARY 14, 2026
Our Commitment

Every piece of analysis published on Saudi Compute must meet the standard of institutional-grade research. We hold ourselves accountable to the same rigor expected of management consulting firms, institutional research departments, and quality financial journalism.

1. Editorial Mission

Saudi Compute exists to provide independent, accurate, and insightful analysis of Saudi Arabia's national compute infrastructure buildout. Our mission is to make institutional-grade intelligence — covering sovereign cloud, AI supercomputing, hyperscale data centers, edge computing, regulatory frameworks, and investment implications — accessible to investors, policymakers, technologists, and business leaders worldwide.

We believe that the quality of publicly available analysis directly impacts the quality of decisions made by the people who read it. This responsibility drives every editorial decision we make.

2. Research Methodology

2.1 Source Hierarchy

We prioritize sources in the following order, and clearly distinguish between source tiers in our analysis:

  • Tier 1 — Official Primary Sources: Government publications, regulatory filings, official statistics (e.g., Vision 2030 official reports, CITC regulatory documents, SDAIA publications, PIF annual reports, Saudi Central Bank data, corporate SEC/Tadawul filings)
  • Tier 2 — Institutional Research: Reports from recognized international institutions (e.g., IMF, World Bank, BIS, OECD, McKinsey Global Institute, Deloitte, World Economic Forum)
  • Tier 3 — Quality Financial Journalism: Reporting from established financial news organizations with editorial standards and fact-checking processes (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Financial Times)
  • Tier 4 — Industry Sources: Analysis from reputable industry research firms (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, IDC, CB Insights) and recognized subject matter experts
  • Tier 5 — Other Sources: Trade publications, press releases, conference presentations, and other publicly available materials — used only when higher-tier sources are unavailable and always identified as such

2.2 Verification Standards

  • Multi-source verification: No factual claim is published based on a single source. All key data points are cross-referenced against at least two independent sources where possible
  • Recency requirement: We prioritize data from the most recent available reporting period and clearly note when data may be outdated
  • Direct sourcing: We link directly to source material within our analysis wherever possible, enabling readers to verify claims and explore further
  • Uncertainty disclosure: When sources conflict or data is uncertain, we explicitly note the discrepancy and present multiple perspectives

2.3 Content Labels

We use clear labels to distinguish between different types of content:

LabelMeaning
ConfirmedVerified through official sources or multiple independent reports
ReportedPublished by credible news sources but not independently verified by us
EstimatedOur calculation based on available data, with methodology disclosed
ProjectedForward-looking figure from an identified source (e.g., "McKinsey projects...")
AnalysisOur editorial interpretation or assessment based on available evidence

3. Editorial Independence

3.1 No Government Affiliation

Saudi Compute is not affiliated with, funded by, or endorsed by any government entity. Our coverage is entirely independent. This independence allows us to publish critical analysis alongside favorable coverage, and to evaluate competing claims objectively.

3.2 Separation of Advertising and Editorial

Advertising revenue — including Google AdSense, programmatic display advertising, and any future sponsored content — is kept strictly separate from editorial decisions. Specifically:

  • Advertisers have no influence over what we cover, how we cover it, or what conclusions we reach
  • No advertiser receives advance notice of our editorial coverage
  • No advertiser receives favorable treatment in exchange for advertising spend
  • Sponsored content, if ever published, will be clearly and prominently labeled as "Sponsored" or "Partner Content" and will never be formatted to appear as independent editorial analysis
  • Affiliate relationships are disclosed transparently and do not influence editorial content

3.3 Conflict of Interest Disclosure

If any member of our editorial team holds a material financial interest in a company or entity covered in our analysis, this will be disclosed within the relevant article. We maintain a policy of avoiding investments in entities that are direct subjects of our coverage.

4. Content Quality Standards

4.1 The Quality Test

Every analysis must pass three quality gates before publication:

  • Institutional Standard: Would a partner at a major consulting firm or portfolio manager at an institutional investor find this useful for decision-making?
  • Google Quality Rater Standard: Would Google's Search Quality Raters score this content "Highest" for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E-E-A-T)?
  • 10x Content Standard: Is this demonstrably better — more comprehensive, more accurate, better sourced, more insightful — than the top three results currently ranking for the target topic?

4.2 Content Requirements

  • Original analysis: We do not aggregate or rewrite content from other sources. Every article contains original frameworks, analysis, or insights not available elsewhere
  • Comprehensive coverage: We prefer depth over breadth. Pillar analyses are 3,000-5,000 words with multiple data points and sourced claims
  • Current data: We use the most recent available data and clearly note the reporting period for all statistics
  • Balanced perspective: We present multiple viewpoints on contested topics and note when expert opinion is divided
  • Accessible language: While maintaining analytical rigor, we write for an informed general audience, not exclusively for specialists

5. Corrections and Updates

5.1 Correction Policy

Accuracy is foundational to our credibility. When errors are identified:

  • Immediate corrections: Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are verified, typically within 24 hours
  • Transparent disclosure: All corrections are noted at the bottom of the relevant article with the date and nature of the correction
  • No silent edits: We do not silently edit published articles to fix errors. All material changes are disclosed
  • Credit: Individuals who report errors are credited (unless they prefer anonymity)

5.2 Update Policy

Published analyses are updated when significant new information becomes available. Updates are noted at the top of the article with the update date and summary of what changed. Minor updates (e.g., fixing typos, updating links) do not require update notices.

6. AI and Technology Use

We are transparent about our use of technology in the editorial process:

  • AI tools may be used to assist with research, data analysis, and drafting, but all published content is reviewed, verified, and edited by human editors
  • AI-generated content is never published without human editorial oversight and fact-checking
  • We do not use AI to fabricate sources, statistics, or quotes
  • Data visualizations and calculations are verified for accuracy before publication

7. Content Policies

7.1 Prohibited Content

Saudi Compute will never publish:

  • Content designed to mislead or deceive readers
  • Unsubstantiated claims presented as fact
  • Content that violates advertising platform policies (including Google AdSense Program Policies)
  • Plagiarized or scraped content from other publications
  • Content promoting illegal activities
  • Content designed to manipulate financial markets
  • Discriminatory, hateful, or derogatory content

7.2 Disclaimer Integration

All content discussing investments, financial products, or regulatory requirements includes appropriate disclaimers. Our full Disclaimer is accessible from every page of the Site.

8. Reader Engagement

We value reader feedback and engagement. You can:

  • Report errors: Contact [email protected]
  • Suggest topics: We welcome suggestions for future coverage areas
  • Provide expertise: If you have domain expertise relevant to our coverage, we welcome your perspective
  • Challenge our analysis: We respect informed disagreement and will consider alternative viewpoints

9. Accountability

This Editorial Policy is a public commitment. We hold ourselves accountable to these standards and welcome scrutiny. If you believe we have failed to meet any standard described in this policy, please contact us at [email protected]. We will investigate and respond transparently.
